You’re missing out if you’re not doing this!

One of the most important things when trying to achieve any goal is your mindset. As we mentioned before, positive outlook on life is one of the most important traits when you want to lose weight. It boosts success.

Here are a few things you can do to keep your morale up:

  • Start a gratitude journal
  • Sweat your stress away
  • Dance yourself into a smaller jeans size
  • Celebrate your achievements

How to celebrate your milestones

Celebration is a great way of keeping your motivation up and serves as a reward for hard work well done.

But achievement is not only the finish line of weight loss. To keep your morale up have as many milestones as possible!

Great milestones you should consider making your own:

  • First day done perfectly
  • First kg lost
  • First 3 kg lost
  • 7 days done perfectly
  • Not going of the meal plan for a whole day
  • Not cheating with food for 7 days in a row
  • Doing all the workouts of the week
  • 10.000 steps in a day
  • Doing 10.000 steps 5 days in a row
  • 2 litres of water in a day
  • Drinking at least 2 litres of water for 7 days in a row
  • Sleeping for 8 hours one night
  • Sleeping for at least 7 hours each night for 10 nights in a row
  • Halfway there!
  • 3/4 there
  • One more kg to go!
  • When setting up a goal - don’t set just one. Consider having a lot of smaller ones along the way.

If you want to lose 10 kg, celebrate losing the first 2, then 5, 7 and 10. Also celebrate non-scale victories. Try to enjoy the benefits of your healthy lifestyle - whether it’s your favourite top fitting better, your stamina improving while walking up the stairs or having more energy throughout the day.

Don’t celebrate by falling off the wagon

Celebration should be a way of keeping your motivation up and serve as a reward for hard work. It shouldn’t be a chance to cheat on your diet and exercise.

When you want to honour your progress, skip the cake and booze and instead take yourself out for a spa day, get a book or treat yourself to some new clothes.
